Description: |
The
BrightMOO client raises an "Unable to Create Device" error
message and exits. |
Cause: |
The
BrightMOO client could not initialize DirectX. |
Solution: |
Try
setting your display to 16-bit color. Older video cards might not
be able to run BrightMOO in 32-bit color. If this fails, try installing
DirectX 9; we have found that DirectX 9 supports a wider range of
video cards than does DirectX 8.1. |

Description: |
The
BrightMOO cursor changes to a magnifying glass when moved over an
object, but clicking on the object only causes the player to walk
to it. |
Cause: |
BrightMOO's
smart cursor feature has not been completely implemented. |
Solution: |
To
toggle between move, look, and grab modes, click the cursor
icon in the upper lefthand corner of the screen, or use the right
mouse button to scroll through modes. |
